Synthetic dl-alpha-tocopherol acetate (half of the right and half of the left isomer) is assigned 1 IU/mg, while natural d-alpha-tocopherol acetate has 1.36 IU/mg. Therefore, the natural Vitamin E found in Wheat Germ Oil has 36 percent higher biological activity than the former.
